First day advice that I wish had been told to me:

Relax, don’t stress. Access for the network, email, the computer and so on has to be granted approved and set up. There is a lot to learn, but just take it all in stride and do what you’re able to do. Take notes and study everything. Do your best, be nice, sincere and polite to everyone, and everything will work out. Listen and observe, ask questions for clarification if you don’t understand, don’t try to control the situation and just go with the flow. There is something that you can learn from everyone. Be grateful for everything that your co-workers do for you. Follow this advice and things will go smoothly for you.
