“My favorite summer activity here in the Seattle area is spending time out on the many waterways in my kayak. There’s nothing quite like paddling underneath the 520 bridge and then into the Arboretum or beneath the 405/522 interchange in Bothell/Woodinville, drifting in and out of the shade made by all the concrete from the freeway flyovers. On the hot days, it’s a refreshing break and on cool days, the water is never too uncomfortably cold.”
