Getting to Yes…..Negotiating Agreement without Giving In by Roger Fisher and William Ury
Reviewed by Thessalonika T Benny

This is a great book not just for business negotiating, but for many aspects of our everyday lives. One of the gems is an example of 2 people both wanting an orange. They both need 1 orange but if one takes it the other loses. In this case, they discuss the goals of each person, learning that one person wants to eat the orange while the other only needs the peeling for a baking project. Sure this is a simple example, but applying this and other ideas can help lead to everyone winning…not one winner and one loser.

This book helped me pass the Foreign Service Exam – I really want others know about it – excellent info.
