Holiday Pay
Employees on assignment at Microsoft may be eligible for eight (8) paid holidays per year: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and The Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, based on the following eligibility requirements.
- Must be an active employee on assignment at Microsoft at the time of the particular holiday.
- Holiday hours will be prorated based on the number of hours worked during the 13 weeks prior to the holiday, with a maximum of 8 hours paid. Part-time employees are eligible for holiday pay, but the holiday proration formula will be based on a 40 hour work week.
- Upon qualifying, holiday pay will be paid at the straight time hourly pay rate in effect at the time of the holiday. To ensure accuracy, timeliness, and fairness, we have automated these holiday benefit processes based on your recorded time and payroll records. Please note that this policy supersedes any prior holiday pay arrangement you may have with Volt.
If you meet the above requirements, holiday hours will be prorated based on the number of hours worked during the 13 weeks prior to the holiday, with a maximum of 8 hours paid. Holiday pay disbursement will be paid the same payroll week ending in which the holiday occurred.
