Missing Work

Military Leave

If it is necessary for you to take military leave, please contact your Employee Relations Representative for information.

Jury Duty

It is Volt policy to permit our employees to have a leave of absence for jury duty. However, it is not Volt policy to reimburse our employees for this leave of absence. Your jury leave is to be approved by Volt. Please provide your Employee Relations Representative with a copy of your jury summons for your personnel file.

Calling in Sick

When you are sick, contact your MS manager first thing in the morning to inform him/her that you will not be at work. Additionally, inform your ER rep that you are not going to work.

Planning Vacation

When you are planning a vacation, get prior approval from your MS manager, and then inform your ER Rep of your plans. If you miss three weeks of work and you have not informed Volt, your benefits will be discontinued.

Family Leave

Volt complies with State and Federal family leave laws. If you plan on taking an extended leave, please contact your Employee Relations Representative for information regarding family leave. For more information, please see the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993.
