“Each parking garage at Microsoft is unique and is kind of a maze to maneuver your car through. Fortunately, I figured out that going to the bottom level was the best plan and I was right and there was plenty of parking.”

Transportation

ORCA Card

Volt employees who work onsite at Microsoft are eligible to receive an ORCA Card. ORCA stands for One Regional Card for All. This card gives convenient access to several commute options including bus, train, ferry, and vanpool. The ORCA smart card allows for seamless travel between transit agencies and transportation modes.

In order to request your ORCA card, you’ll need to review and agree to the Terms and Conditions form at http://gemsprod/ORCAform/. Then you can go to the receptionist in your building and request the card. More information about the ORCA card can be found at http://portals/refweb/Transportation/GettingToWork/Pages/ORCACard.aspx.

Microsoft Shuttles

Volt employees can also use the Microsoft Shuttles to get from one Microsoft building to another. Just tell the receptionist what building you need to go to and he/she will call a shuttle for you.

Shuttles are on request from building to building, including buildings on other Microsoft campuses. Shuttles stop at the Transit Center beginning at 7:06 AM and run every 15 minutes until 9:00 AM. After 9:00 AM, the shuttles run every 30 minutes. Additionally, you can take the Millennium shuttle to the Bear Creek Park and Ride.

Request shuttles to your destination at the reception desk in your building. After hours, you may request shuttles at ext. 36000.

Transit Center
