Ending Your Assignment

Volt is committed to helping every employee smoothly transition from one assignment to the next. Here is what you can expect when your assignment is wrapping up:

End of Assignment Meeting

Your ER Rep will schedule a meeting with you between 30-45 days before your assignment ends. During this meeting, you will discuss the steps to a successful transition.

Your ER Rep will ask you for an updated resume and your top 4 technical skills.

He/she will then enter this information into our Volt Transition Program to help you find your next assignment. Even though you are not eligible to work at MS during your 100 day break, Volt has other companies who are interested in hiring our experienced workforce.

He/she will send an email to payroll on your behalf to request a payout of your longevity bonus if you have worked enough hours to qualify.

You will discuss the ending date of your medical benefits if you have them.

Final Details

Be sure that you return any materials you have checked out to the Microsoft Library.

If you have received ergonomic equipment from Volt, your ER Rep will collect it on your last day.

Don’t forget to submit your hours into the Talent Source Tool before you leave on your last day.

Your ER Rep will set up a time to collect your MS badge from you before you leave. For security purposes, it is important that we get this badge right away.

Your ER Rep will send you a link and ask you to fill out an exit survey. We review these carefully to help us improve our service to you, so please take the time to give us your feedback.
